Before we actually started our discussion we were tasked to give an interpretation in a certain quotation which is:
"KNOWLEDGE IS POWER"
My analysis about the quotation is that knowledge is power because if you have more knowledge, you can have certain advantages. you can also use these knowledge in a beneficial way to help and guide others in different situations. There are also a lot of things that can be created such as innovations, inventions, technologies and a lot more. It can also serve as a medium to change the world. However, having power is a big responsibility that is why we need to use our knowledge properly and responsibly.
It was another good discussion that we had during this day. We discussed how to properly source a data,validate information through its sources and to value the ethical use of communicating information.
We also answered the following questions:
1. How does information become knowledge?
As we gather information, we should filter it thoroughly and effectively for it to be come not only as a knowledge but as a true, fruitful and beneficial knowledge. Gathering and processing gives way to find and gain more knowledge that can be used in a variety of instances that could help, build and innovate the world.
2. State the importance of giving credit in the source of one's work.
Giving credit to the work of others is a way to show our respect to the person who really made the text. It also serve as an act of appreciation and acknowledgement to the writer of the text. This is because if we give credits we show and recognize the importance of the work of others.

time to visit / Length of Vacation

The best time to visit Mind Museum is during noon or afternoon where
most of the shows and programs are conducted and are allowed for viewing.

The best time to visit Luneta Park is during sunset and early evening
to see the Light and Sound Fountain Show and also for an experience of a soothing
and relaxing weather.

Transportation
|
For this trip, we have decided to rent a bus from
crystal tourist bus that may cost around 10 000 Pesos.

|
There are a lots of amazing places in the vicinity of the museum where
students can stay, relax and enjoy their trip.

The Luneta Park itself has a lot of places where students can stay.
They can even have their picnics in the vicinity of the park.

|
Bringing of own food is advisable however there are also many
restaurants near the vicinity of the Mind Museum to try and enjoy.

Bringing of own food is required since most of the restaurants or
food chains are not located inside the vicinity of the park and it might just
cause trouble if students will be allowed to buy in such restaurants which is
not within the range of the academic trip.

Card, Parent’s Permit and other valuable possessions.

Please follow your tour guide always and be guided of the schedule.
Also, don’t leave your valuable things unattended because it will not be our
liability and responsibility for missing things. Refrain also from creating
so much noise inside the museum and maintain self-discipline always.

Please be careful of the different belongings that you have. Also
remain disciplined and follow the tour guide since this park is a large
place. Also bring extra T- shirt and water since there will be a lot of
physical activities.

Information Literacy: An Essential Skill in Today's World
Nowadays,
being a literate person goes beyond than just being able to read and write. In
a world diverse with cultures, traditions, media and technologies, a literate
person need to possess certain capabilities which are really essential in
today’s advanced world.
Information
literacy in individuals is very crucial in this world full of information.
Being information literate is being able to recognize when the information is
needed and being able to efficiently locate, accurately evaluate, effectively
use and clearly communicate information in different formats. Being in a world
having complex information structures, we as individuals should practice being
responsible not only in taking in information but also in using and
disseminating it. We must always think
twice before clicking in our electronic devices and we must always read twice
before accepting different information. We are the future of this developing
world that is why literacy in information is highly needed from all of us for
it will guide us to the path to a well guided society.
Information
might be scattered all around the world and taking it in and spreading it is
way too easy nowadays. However, these conditions does not exempt us from any
responsibilities rather it pushes us to fulfil our responsibilities more. We
must strive to be information literate individuals for it will not only bring
betterment of ourselves but also for the future of our society.
My Realization:
After the discussion I really knew how important proper sourcing to our lives is because it is a way of showing respect and acknowledgement to others. It is also important to know how to properly source certain works so that we will not be accused of plagiarism and may even cause us years in jail. Through this lesson, I knew that as individuals of the advanced society we should not only focus in gathering and collecting information but also being responsible to it, as information literate citizens.
