After doing the activity we were asked to describe and define the three different types of media in our own understanding and in our own knowledge.
Here are my definitions for the three terminologies.
PRINT MEDIA - a form of media that is tangible, not digital, and is placed or
printed usually in papers using the printing press.
BROADCAST MEDIA - a form of media created with a
purpose to broadcast or disseminate information and knowledge to the public.
NEW MEDIA - a form of media that makes everything faster, efficient and
advanced. It is also associated with different social networking sites.
After knowing the types of media and their differences we now discussed media convergence. It was really my first time to hear such a term and I was really excited to know more about it and I am ready to share it to all of you. Media Convergence is the co-existence of traditional and new media which allows media to flow across various platforms and it also has the ability to transform different kinds of media into digital code.
Here are my answers to a task about media convergence:

This day was really a great day for I had more knowledge about media and its types and also about the definition of media convergence and its effects to the society and to media itself. To summarize what I have learned in today's lesson.
Here is my synthesis from the given questions:
Describe how new technologies have led to the convergence of traditional and new media.
New technologies has led to the transfer and conversion of a traditional media into newer form of media wherein the format is considered to be alike or the same.
How media convergence creates new opportunities

How media convergence creates new opportunities
Through media convergence in today's world we can now communicate using different forms of media and mediums to be able to spread different information and knowledge to large amounts of people creating more opportunities for jobs, different markets and also plays a big role in the betterment economy of the world.
Use of one or two forms of new media to share knowledge on an issue
The two forms of media that I chose is Facebook and Twitter since it is mostly used nowadays. These forms of new media can be used to inform large amounts of people to increase awareness about societal. political, environmental and economic issues not only in a specific country but to the whole world.
How a person could be portrayed in public in the aspect of media convergence
A person could be portrayed in public in the aspect of media convergence through his profile and the posts that he makes and creates. These things give us a knowledge and understanding of a person.
